Sea Spider (Anoplodactylus sp) carrying eggs – Blue Heron Bridge, Riviera Beach, FL

I was showing my friend and dive buddy, Brian K, around the bridge for the first time during this night dive.  We had cruised under the East side, seen all of the major bridge players, and then I passed him my camera so he could try his hand at some photography.  I put him on a nice little Banded Coral Shrimp (Stenopus hispidus), and took his dive light to look around while he worked.  No more than ten seconds later, I had my face in the bottom structure and spotted two Sea Spiders – one with eggs, the other carrying a skeleton shrimp on its back like a cowboy.  Unfortunately for Brian, his Underwater Photography 101 course had to be stopped short as I beckoned for my rig.  Getting in close with the CMC-1, I had grabbed a few of the Spider with eggs before it climbed up and onto my glove where I spent a few moments with her.
