Some of my favorite things to find and photograph are patterns and geometry in nature. Flounder disappear into the bottom with a nearly two-dimensional body and graphic sand patterns that cover their exposed surface. On this dive, I was shooting a different subject when this Flounder made a small movement and caught my attention. It was only about a foot away from the previous subject, but I would not have noticed it without a bit of movement to help differentiate it from the bottom.
